Steve Timian

Steve Timian joined Diversity Sourcing Solutions in 2021. He is a passionate leader that has experience working with large and mid-size organizations. He excels at aligning teams with project goals, building engagement, and implementing transformative strategies. He brings a broad background in project management, P&L management, strategic planning, new business development, marketing, e-product development, and operations management, including lean manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer experience.

Steve has led a transformation across multiple plants around the world from disparate, competing sites to a single global enterprise working on a common lean framework. This resulted in operational performance and customer experience. The supply chain work Steve’s team completed enabled the organization to remain operational and on-time throughout the pandemic. Steve worked cross functionally to implement AGILE product development methodologies which reduced the development of a major new innovation by more than a year.

Steve is accomplished in the development of key internal and external relationships. that accelerates revenue and product innovation. At Panduit, he developed an incubation process and built an organization of engineering, sales, marketing, and product development for startups, creating a $25 million industrial automation business and, within one year, establishing new market access and partner model to accelerate growth of a $2.5 million IoT business. The business became Cisco’s #1 development partner with integrated product offerings and established commercial relationships with companies including P&G, Toyota, Kimberly Clark, Alcoa, Honda, and Coca-Cola.

Steve also managed P&L, product design, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and human resources for multiple business. As a general manager, he transformed underperforming businesses, implementing Lean manufacturing and agile product development while improving service levels and lead times.

Steve has an MBA in Operations Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Certified SCRUM Master and has completed numerous leadership development programs.
